A painful mourning
Santa also spoke about the painful loss of his parents. She, who grew up in and attended the Lycée Masséna in the center of Nice, had an architect father and a singer mother in the 1980s in the rock group Daisy Duck. “Their expectations of me were unspoken and I thought I had every choice possible. They had confidence. and I started playing the piano simply because there was a piano in the living room. And when I played sports [du judo, ndlr], I had to be the best. And I was the best!”she first remembered. Then to reveal that his mother had “refused to go solo when his band broke up”, while she did the opposite and is very proud of it. His father died in 2010 and his mother in 2019, a grief that is still difficult today. “It’s a tragedy that I carry within me. Has my perception of things changed? Yes. Since then, I have been singing louder so that my songs resonate higher.”she concluded.
