Udesc (University of the State of Santa Catarina) is open for registration for the free course “Training for Teaching and Management in Education for Ethnic-Racial Relations and Quilombola School Education”. The activities will be taught online from March 2025.
Registration must be done on the official website, by December 20th. 3,500 vacancies will be offered, aimed at basic education professionals, pedagogical teams and managers of public education networks.
The course will be divided into four modules:
- Brazilian ethnic-racial and quilombola panorama
- Cultures and territorialities
- in practice
- Democratic management for diversity
Course duration
The training has a workload of 120 hours, with the objective of “fostering the racial literacy of professionals who work in basic education and contributing to the training of teachers and managers in accordance with the legal frameworks of the Education for Ethnic-Racial Relations (Erer) and Quilombola School Education (EEQ)in addition to research and scientific studies that guide the inclusion of this public in education systems in Brazil”.
According to Udesc, the course also aims to promote the development of knowledge, knowledge and pedagogical practices that value traditions, cultures and ancestral languages linked to and quilombola.
In addition to the discussion of evaluation systems and the creation of political pedagogical projects, during the training a anti-racist educational proposal with pedagogical activities that transform the school environment and relationships.
