Iguatemi () reported this Wednesday (18) that it signed a binding memorandum of understanding to purchase stakes in the Pátio Higienópolis and Pátio Paulista shopping malls, in the city of São Paulo, for around R$2.59 billion.
The agreement involves the acquisition of a 60% stake in the condominium of the main development of Pátio Paulista and 44.17% in the expansion of the asset, in addition to 50.1% in the main development and in the expansion of Pátio Higienópolis, according to a relevant fact.
Under the terms of the memorandum, the total price of R$2.59 billion must be paid 70% in cash, at the closing of the transaction, and the remainder in two equal annual installments adjusted by the CDI.
Iguatemi also informed that BB Premium Malls, a Banco do Brasil investment fund, will participate in the operation with an investment of R$800 million.
