Moderator Adela Vinczeová (44) has been working in Slovak show business for almost 30 years. During that time, she built a strong name and position as one of the best presenters. When she was 16 years old, she started as an editor in Telerán in the Marquesas region. In the meantime, she also tried her hand at modeling and later moved to commercial radio. The breakthrough in her career was the project Slovakia is looking for a SuperStar. Since then, he has been a fixture on television screens. She evaluated how the media environment and show business have changed in the podcast .
“In my position as moderator, I absolutely remember, let’s call it political correctness, but it was something completely different. I remember things that if someone were to point out what I said… In America I go straight to the bottom and here I’ll dig myself out of it for a while. I am honestly shocked that I could say something like that,” explained Adela, who does not regret it at all.
“I think that this is a natural development, that at that time I had a different perspective on it. I agree with that because some things are dishonorable towards minorities, towards women, towards anything. At the same time, I’m still a fan of hard humor and in this period to find space for it and to know how to sneak it somewhere so that it is clear that I do not want to attack, that in short I enjoy the valve of the rude and harsh, for this I often use Saif and our joint talk show. Things have definitely changed there, and I evaluate it positively, sometimes it turns into such terror, where you also have to find the border on the other side.” added.
Adela also tries to find a balance between all of this, but she does not rule out that “her corridor could have touched someone else’s corridor.” “I think that corridor defines the inner intention. When you have an inner intention to humiliate someone, even if you wrap it up in a joke, you can feel it somewhere. When it’s clear to someone that it’s just a forum, that it’s only meant to serve that forum and it’s not supposed to represent any opinion on the topic,” she concluded, adding that sometimes you put yourself in the role of “bull or an ignoramus” because you might want to ironize people who that’s how they think, it just has to be understandable to the listener. “You can zigzag it, and it’s all the more interesting, challenging, and maybe even better forums are created because they’re not for the first time,” concluded Adela.
