Algarve region with 5,922 approved projects totaling 570.5 ME of eligible investment

Taking into account the transparency and public information policy pursued in the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) with the presentation of results and projects on the respective website and social networks, or with the dissemination of projects on the Transparency Portal, the Missão Recuperar Portugal presented a new tab on the website “”.

In this new area of ​​the PRR website, it is possible to consult PRR investments from North to South of the country and autonomous regions, selecting the districts of Portugal and being able to access the details of the municipalities. You can also check the level of implementation of each component, investment and project, both national and regional in scope.

The Recover Portugal Mission Structure is responsible for publishing, every three months, the “candidacies approved within the scope of PRR investments (…), in paper and/or electronic form, in one of the two local or regional newspapers with the highest circulation of the municipality or municipalities where this investment is carried out, as well as in a newspaper with national circulation.”, under the terms legally established in § 8 of article 11 of Decree-Law nº 29-B/2021, of May 4, in the wording given by Decree-Law No. 55/2024, of September 9th.

In the context of its mission of articulating sectoral public policies with an impact on the Region, the Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR) of the Algarve, IP has been part of the National PRR Monitoring Commission since the beginningcreated under the terms of the same legal diploma, which has the following powers:

-Monitor the execution of the PRR, developing initiatives that it considers appropriate, particularly at the territorial level, involving regional and local actors;

– Monitor information, communication and promotion of greater transparency measures, actively participating in the definition of the models to be used;

– Monitor progress in implementing the PRR and propose recommendations for improving implementation mechanisms;

– Issue an opinion on the semi-annual or annual monitoring reports presented by the “Recover Portugal” mission structure, being able to make recommendations;

– Analyze PRR results and impact evaluation reports.

In more specific areas, such as schools and infrastructure, CCDR Algarve also intervenes as an intermediary beneficiary, technically supporting the final beneficiary promoter Municipalities.

No Algarve, 5,922 projects have been approved, representing 570.5 million euros (M€) of eligible investmentdivided into the following areas:

  • Industry decarbonization – 6 projects – €0.5 M
  • Energy efficiency in buildings – 2,542 projects – €15.9 M
  • Hydrogen and renewables – 1 project – R$1.9 million
