An accident between a car and a travel bus caused the death of two elderly people this Tuesday morning (24), at km 451 of BR-277, in Laranjeiras do Sul, western region of Paraná.
According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the collision occurred between a Volkswagen Gol and a Scania bus. The 66-year-old driver of the car was accompanied by a 63-year-old woman, both of whom died at the scene. Once on the bus, the driver and a passenger were unharmed.
Traffic in the region had to be diverted to the side of the road, but the lane has now been reopened.

Paraná’s roads may begin to be busier in the coming days due to the arrival of the end of year festivities.
According to EPR Litoral Pioneiro, the concessionaire responsible for the stretch between Curitiba and Paranaguá, around 93 thousand vehicles will pass through towards the Paraná Coast between the 20th and 26th of December.
