Now be honest. The Christmas holidays are often not that contemplative. It all depends on the lovely family. That’s why the majority of Christmas films are about families who somehow pull together across the generations. If that works, that’s wonderful – and, communists would now say, the epitome of capitalist-bourgeois ideology.
