On Christmas Day, you have to be careful of icy snow and snow tongues on the roads. On the Zbojská and Cukmantel mountain passes, there is icy snow one centimeter thick in places, and snow tongues form on the Besník mountain pass. The Príslop mountain pass is closed to traffic with a total length of more than 12 meters. The Slovak Road Administration (SSC) informs about this on its website zjazdnost.sk.
Mountain passes are passable with restrictions according to the road users, the road surface is wet, except for the Vrchslatina, Štós, Súľová, Podspády, Huty, Grajnár, Dobšiná, Branisko and Besník passes. which are covered with fresh, slush or compacted snow one to two centimeters thick.
Routes I., II. and III. classes are passable, the road surface is mostly damp to wet. Especially in the higher elevations of Slovakia, there is a layer of fresh, slushy or compacted snow on the roads. On the road III. class in the district of Záborské there is snow three centimeters thick.
The green wave STVR warns that there is icy snow on the road III/2530 between Žarnovica and Banská Štiavnica.
