In South Korea, after President Yoon Suk-yeol was deposed, Prime Minister Han Duck-soo was also removed from office by parliament. Han took over Yoon’s office after the impeachment of Yoon, who declared martial law at the beginning of December and thereby attempted a coup. Like Yoon, Han comes from the conservative party family. He had refused to accept three lawyers proposed by Parliament as supreme judges.
