Nissan Sentra Advance 2025: is it worth it or is it better to invest in the top-of-the-line version?

Owning a midsize sedan is like swimming against the tide. In a scenario taken over by SUVs, sedans are disappearing. One of the few survivors, however, is the Nissan Sentra. The reporting team at CNN tested the model in the simplest variant, Advancefor a week, in Recife. Check out the impressions below.

Already line 2025the vehicle arrives with some changes and additional security features. But is the price worth it or is it better to invest in the top-of-the-line version?

The midsize sedan has a new chrome “V-motion” front grille and LED headlights with daytime running lights. The update reduces fuel consumption by around 10%, according to Nissan.

In the test, more than 300 kilometers were driven, exclusively in the urban cycle. With sections of heavy traffic and others that are freer, the general average consumption was 10.4 km/l.

The price of the simplest configuration starts at R$164,290, while the Exclusive (without beige interior) costs R$185,690 — a difference of R$21,400.

In terms of security, the Advance variant won some equipment in the 2025 line:

  • Blind Spot Monitoring (BSI);
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA);
  • Intelligent Alert and Lane Change Prevention Assistant (LDW+LDP); and
  • Intelligent Automatic Headlights (HBA).

For R$21,400 less, the Sentra Advance It loses some items compared to its more expensive brother, Exclusive.

  • Remote engine start;
  • Sunroof with electric control;
  • Electrochromic internal rear view mirror;
  • Chrome rear interior door handles;
  • Intelligent 360° vision and moving object detection (AVM + MOD);
  • BOSE premium sound system with eight speakers.

The sound system entry variant It has six speakers and is unsigned.

In the mechanical part, the Sentra has the same set for both versions. 2.0 naturally aspirated engine with 151 hp and 20 kgfm of torque and eight-speed CVT transmission. The set is comfortable enough to run on a daily basis.

It reaches a top speed of 200 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.4 seconds.

In terms of size, Nissan’s midsize sedan is 4.64 meters long, 1.81 meters wide and has a wheelbase of 2.70 meters. The trunk is fully lined and has 466 liters of cargo capacity.
