Thermometers can reach minus three degrees on New Year’s Eve. Prepare your coat, hat and gloves, as the entry into 2025 will be very chilly.
New Year’s Eve will be cold. The minimum temperature will reach -3ºC in the North and Center interior, forecasts .
At the end of the year, the weather “will be conditioned by an anticyclone located over the Iberian Peninsula, and by a depression region (…) centered near the Gulf of Cádiz”.
The maximum temperature will vary between 5°C e 12°C in the interior North and Center and up to 19°C in the remaining territorywhile the minimum temperature will vary between -3°C and 0°C in the North and Center interiorbeing between 0°C and 7°C in the remaining territorywith the exception of the Algarve where the minimum temperature can reach 10°C.
“On New Year’s Eve, the sky should be generally clear, with the exception of the northeast of Trás-os-Montes and Beira Alta, where it should be very cloudy, with the formation of fog or fog in some places. No precipitation is expected and the wind will be generally weak from the eastern quadrant”, it can be read.
For the first day of 2025, IPMA predicts the situation will be “very similar to the one on the 31st”.
