Although meatless delicacies are often associated with an uninteresting appearance or bland taste, we assure you that this delicacy will diversify your table with unique colors and a wealth of different structures and flavors. The vegetarian snack is a combination of two aromatic cheeses, cranberries and spices. Just combine them, form them into an appetizing ball and serve with crackers. It’s the perfect appetizer for a party because you don’t need any cutlery, no plates. Importantly, you can prepare it quickly, even last minute. So if you were looking for the culinary star of the show, be sure to prepare a vegetarian cheese ball.
Ingredients:
- 220 g of cream cheese,
- 100 g sera gorgonzola,
- 60 g of dried cranberries,
- 50 g roasted onion,
- a bit of hot sauce, e.g. Tabasco,
- a bit of chopped parsley.
To coat:
- 60 g pecans,
- 60 g of a mixture of your favorite seeds (e.g. sesame, sunflower),
- optionally finely chopped cranberries.
How to do it:
In a small bowl, combine cream cheese and crumbled gorgonzola cheese. Do it very carefully so that the mass has a uniform consistency. Add dried cranberries and roasted onion. Pour a little sauce and add chopped parsley. Stir. Form a large ball or several smaller ones. Wrap each of them in foil and put in the fridge for at least an hour.
Before serving, prepare the breading. Chop the pecans finely. Combine with a mixture of your favorite grains and optionally dried cranberries. Coat the balls in the prepared breading and serve with crackers or crispbread.
