It is the first time that the club has released its numbers as SAF; the data was audited by Ernst & Young
Atlético-MG is releasing the club’s financial data at an event in Belo Horizonte. The presentation will take place on January 8, 2025, coinciding with the re-presentation of the cast for the 2025 season. The information was released by GE.
It will be the first time that the club, since becoming a SAF (Sociedade Anônima do Futebol), will present a detailed financial statement. The audit, hired by the club, will participate to ensure the transparency of information.
The event will seek to clarify the financial situation of Atlético-MG and present the results achieved in the last year under the management of majority shareholder Rubens Menin.
In a recent interview with 98FM RadioMenin mentioned a record collection and the reduction of debt from R$500 million to R$400 million. According to him, 2025 will be the first time in years with positive operating cash flow.
“It will be the first year that Atlético will have positive operating cash flow, we had record revenue. Two problems we had this year, a financial interest deficit and the arena also has a loan that makes a loss every year, which is the CRIS. We have a debt of R$400 million, which we are reducing, it was R$500 million and now it is R$400 million. The important thing is for us to be operational, this shows the health of the team. Atlético will close 2024 with operational results, reducing debt and record revenue”, these.
Despite the progress, the club is facing difficulties due to rising interest rates, which has affected financial planning. The deadline for repaying the debt was postponed from 2026 to 2028. Menin explained that the rise in interest rates required adjustments to the club’s plans.
In the sporting sphere, Atlético-MG won the Campeonato Mineiro and reached the finals of the Copa do Brasil and Libertadores, consolidating its position in Brazilian football.
