A truck loaded with wooden logs caused an accident that resulted in three deaths on PR-340, in Ortigueira, in Campos Gerais do Paraná. On the night of December 31st, the truck driver lost control and the vehicle overturned. At the time of the accident, a passenger car was passing by the scene and was hit by the truck’s load.
The car, which was heading towards Telêmaco Borba, was occupied by three people and was crushed under the logs. On January 1st, when a tow truck went to the site to remove the truck, they found the car destroyed under the wooden logs.
The truck driver who caused the accident received medical attention and did not realize that a car had been hit by the load. The next day, the truck owner was informed by the tow truck hired to remove the vehicle that there was a car crushed beneath the load.

The truck owner informed a team from the Highway Police Battalion (BPRv) and the tow truck driver informed the Paraná Civil Police. The site was isolated and forensic teams made the first collections.
Three bodies are found
After removing the cargo, the bodies of the three occupants of the passenger car were located. There was a man in the vehicle, who was the driver, and two women, who were passengers.
The driver was 38 years old and the passengers were 25 and 63. The victims’ bodies were sent to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) in Londrina.
