Leaders say that January 9th will be the day when the “flag is united in a single cry for freedom”
The main opponents of the president in Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro (United Socialist Party of Venezuela, left), called for demonstrations in the country on the eve of the presidential inauguration, scheduled for Friday (10.Jan.2025), at the country’s National Assembly.

“I’ll go with you. This January 9th, everyone takes to the streets, in Venezuela and around the world. Glory to the brave people”, wrote the leader.

Maduro’s opponent went to Argentina and Uruguay this weekend, and met with the heads of the Executive of the respective countries to present what he says are the electoral records of the election indicating his victory. In Buenos Aires and Montevideo, it was called “elected president of Venezuela”.
González used the beginning of this year to go on a “tour” to pressure neighbors not to recognize Maduro’s victory.
