Advertising with a Brazilian funk soundtrack features lyrics about sex and drugs and was criticized by citizens and the opposition

The current Prime Minister’s United Kingdom Labor Party was criticized after publishing a video on its account with images generated by artificial intelligence and a Brazilian funk soundtrack with explicit lyrics about sex and drugs. The piece, titled “Labour’s plans to change the UK (like animals)”, was deleted after the negative repercussion.

The video cited promises from the Labor government, which returned to power in 2024 after 14 years in opposition, such as improvements in public security and the health system. However, the use of music “Coral Montage”, by DJ Holanda, caused outrage from British citizens and members of the Conservative Party.

The funk lyrics, which were translated by internet users into English, contained passages that suggest violence and sexual exploitation of young women, which generated strong criticism of the party on social networks and in the British media.

The conservative parliamentarian accused Labor of normalizing unacceptable behavior and demanded explanations from the Minister of the Interior, Yvette Cooper. “Do you think it is acceptable for your party to publish videos with lyrics encouraging sexual violence against young people?,” Kearns wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) profile,

On social media, other British citizens expressed their distaste for the government party’s stance. One user responded to a playback of the video with the English translation of the song and wrote: “Someone should be fired for this”.

Another user, who also published a translation of the lyrics, stated that Labor is the “grooming gang”, in reference to a Huddersfield child sexual abuse ring. The group was the largest ever convicted of sex crimes against girls in the town, which is in West Yorkshire.

In a note sent to the website through its spokesperson, the Labor Party justified the publication by stating that it was a model of “viral trend” and apologized for the content of the video, acknowledging that the song was inappropriate.

This post is adapted from a viral social media trend and contains a mash-up of two music tracks. We recognize that the translation of the lyrics is completely inappropriate. We apologize and the video has been deleted”, the party stated.

STARMER X MUSK TENSION

The episode occurs at a time of political tension for Keir Starmer, who was recently the target of criticism from businessman Elon Musk. The billionaire supported calls for an investigation into the treatment of alleging omissions during the period when Starmer was head of the CPS (Crown Prosecution Service, the UK Public Prosecutor’s Office).

In publications published since Friday (January 3), the businessman said that Starmer failed to prosecute child sexual exploitation gangs. He calls for the prime minister’s dismissal and arrest.

Starmer was an accomplice to the RAPE OF THE BRITISH when he was head of the Public Prosecution Service for 6 years. Starmer needs to go and he must face charges for his complicity in the worst mass crime in UK history”, Musk.

Without mentioning the billionaire’s name, Starmer told reporters the following: “AThose who spread lies and disinformation are not interested in the victims. They’re just worried about themselves”.
