A 29-year-old woman with symptoms of the virus died on the coast of São Paulo. She was treated at the emergency unit in the municipality of Cristais Paulista, in the region of Franca, in the interior of São Paulo, but did not survive. The case was confirmed by the local city hall.
Amanda Caroline Resende de Oliveira fell ill on Saturday (4), with diarrhea and vomiting, according to Agência Brasil. She developed symptoms after walking along the coast of São Paulo, a region experiencing a virus outbreak. But according to the Secretary of Health, Thaisa Barion, it is still not possible to confirm the cause of death.
