Monopoly has new rules

Hasbro, the company responsible for the famous game, announced several new features: the box, parts and rules have changed.

O Monopoly is one of the most popular board games in the world. It’s that different world, where we buy, we sell; there are houses, hotels, neighborhoods or companies to negotiate.

Financial management, strategy, negotiation. The idea is to accumulate more and more wealth and try to make the other players hit bottom, going bankrupt.

Decades passed and Monopoly became more than a board game; It is a cultural phenomenon that crosses and continues to cross generations.

Maybe you have no idea – or maybe you do – but Monopoly was already created in 1935. In other words, this year it completes 90 years.

To mark the date, the company responsible for the game, renewed the Monopoly. Rules change, parts change and even the box changes.

There are three new “expansion packs”all inspired by rules created by players, by fans: Free Parking Jackpot – adds a roulette wheel that gives cash prizes; Go to Jail – new corruption letters for anyone arrested; Buy Everything – even the bank is for sale.

The rectangular box disappears. From now on, the game will be sold in a square box, more “elegant” and more compact.

Other news: bank protected against thieves, crisper notes and “beautiful and organized” game pieces, all with designs updated.

Expansion packs are now available at most major retailers. The renewed full game is available for pre-order and arrives in Europe early this year.
