Military Police Body Cameras deny the version of the police officers who participated in the approach that resulted in the death of medical student Marco Aurélio Cardenas Acosta, on November 20 last year, in the South Zone of São Paulo.
According to images from the Civil Police report, obtained by CNNthe student was cornered and shot after receiving a kick, without trying to grab the gun from soldier Bruno Carvalho do Prado, as had been alleged by the police to justify the shot made by soldier Guilherme Augusto Macedo.
Although the complete videos are not included in the investigation due to “technical impossibility”, the material was analyzed by teams from the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP), who concluded that the police did not tell the truth when they called to ask for help to the victim , who was treated, but died at Ipiranga hospital.
