Sertanejo had lunch at his home with the chiefs of União Brasil; the governor also expressed interest in running for Planalto in 2026
The singer met this Friday (10.jan.2025) with the governor of Goiás, (União Brasil), and with the party president, Antonio Rueda. The meeting takes place a week after the singer announced that em 2026.
According to the Poder360the artist received the governor and the chief of União Brasil at his home for lunch. Gusttavo Lima would be in talks to join the party. The invitation has already been made on other occasions.
Caiado is a long-time friend of the singer and also expressed interest in running for Palácio do Planalto in the next elections.
In the 2022 elections, Gusttavo Lima publicly supported the former president (PL), also endorsed by the governor of Goiás. However, Bolsonaro and Caiado are no longer on good terms after accumulating friction during the municipal elections.
In an interview with Metropolisesthe singer said he was tired “of this history of right and left”.
“Brazil needs alternatives. I’m tired of seeing people in need without being able to do much to help. […] Enough of this right and left story. It’s not about that, it’s about making a gesture for the country, in the sense of putting my knowledge to benefit a project to unite the population.”
