The Portuguese beach soccer team will hold its first training camp of 2025 between the 16th and 19th of January, with seven training sessions at Praia da Rocha, in Portimão.
The Portuguese team, which is preparing its participation in the Seychelles, is in pot 1 of the draw, after winning the qualifying tournament last October, in Cádiz, Spain.
Coach Mário Narciso called 15 players to work, goalkeepers Diogo Dias, Pedro Mano and Rúben Regufe, and players Bernardo Lopes, Tiago Batalha, Rui Coimbra, André Lourenço, Bê Martins, Duarte Algarvio, Jordan Santos, Rodrigo Pinhal, Rúben Brilhante, Filipe Santos, Léo Martins and Miguel Pintado.
In the European qualification that took place in Spain, the teams from Portugal, Spain, Italy and Belarus guaranteed their presence in the world tournament, which will take place between May 1st and 11th, 2025, in Victoria, on the island of Mahé.
The Seychelles are an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, near the east coast of Africa.
The Portuguese beach football team, current European champion, has already won the World Cup under FIFA’s auspices on two occasions, in 2015 and 2019.
