Former president Zuzana Čaputová and her longtime partner Juraj Rizman are no longer a couple. They parted ways after six years. They confirmed the unexpected news to the newspaper “Yes, it is so, despite our sincere efforts to find a solution and after long conversations, we have decided, with mutual respect, to end our partnership,” they stated in a joint statement.
“Nothing bad has happened between us – don’t expect any scandals or drama. We are extremely grateful for all the years together, for all that we have taught each other and for the love that we have shared. Our lives remain connected, but from now on ‘just’ as friends.” We understand that this may raise many questions, but we would like to sincerely ask you to respect our privacy,” the couple added.
Although Čaputová and Rizman strictly guarded their privacy, there was no indication that their relationship was coming to an end. Just a few months ago, word got around that they had bought a joint plot of land in a quiet location on the outskirts of Pezinok. So everyone was waiting for the announcement of a wedding and not a breakup.
