The Paraná Military Fire Department advises that when entering rivers, always remain close to the banks and pay attention to the change in color of the water, the sudden increase in the volume of water, the presence of leaves, trunks and branches, as this is the first indication of a head of water.
The water head is the significant increase in the volume of water due to rain near its sources or higher reaches in the river.
