Iran’s Fars news agency described Trump’s statements about the deal as a mix of truth and falsehood

Iran’s Fars news agency accuses Donald Trump of misrepresenting a possible peace deal. He claims that the president combines the truth with non-existent clauses.

Citing informed sources, Iran’s Fars news agency said on Friday that US President Donald Trump’s latest statements about a possible deal to end the war in the Middle East are a combination of truth and lies. TASR writes about it according to an AFP report.

“Trump claimed that Iran is obliged to open the Strait of Hormuz without (imposing) tolls, although no such clause appears in the agreement,” Fars reported.

The agency also commented on Trump’s claim that Washington and Tehran will jointly eliminate the enriched uranium in Iran. “Well-informed sources have pointed out that not only is this not in the MoU, but the claim is completely unfounded,” she said.

Trump announced on Friday that he will make a “final” decision in the White House situation room on whether or not to make a peace deal with Iran. In a post on his social network Truth Social, he also reiterated that Iran must agree never to possess a nuclear weapon or bomb, and that the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran closed shortly after the launch of the US-Israeli attacks in late February, must immediately be opened to commercial shipping in both directions without restrictions and without tolls.
