This correction is already in effect, benefiting those who are entitled to unemployment insurance. The salary range table used to calculate the benefit followed the (INPC), which recorded the same variation of 4.77%.
With the correction, the value of unemployment insurance increased from R$2,313.74 to R$2,424.11, representing a difference of R$110.37. Furthermore, the benefit floor also follows the variation in the minimum wage, which rose from R$1,412.00 to R$1,518.00.
This measure is valid both for those who already receive unemployment insurance and for those who will request the benefit after dismissal without just cause. The workers’ last three salaries serve as the basis for calculating the adjustment, ensuring that the amount received is proportional to the previous salary.
To request unemployment insurance, the worker must be without employment and have been fired without just cause. The request must be made between 7 and 120 days after dismissal, while for domestic employees the period is 7 to 90 days.
