US President gives Iran just a few days to close a nuclear deal. “Sir, can you hold on? We think we’re close.”

The question was direct: how many days is the Iran to go to the negotiating table?

Donald Trump, this Tuesday: “Two or three days. Maybe Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Perhaps at the beginning of next week. A limited period of time.”

The US president warned that his armed forces are ready to new large-scale military attackif there is no agreement.

In fact, this attack could have already happened earlier this week, on Monday: “I was an hour away from this. Everything was ready to move forward. We would have attacked… It would be happening right now.”

“How do you negotiate with a heavily hit country that, at the negotiating table, begs for an agreement…? I hope we don’t have to continue the war. But Maybe we have to hit them hard again. Perhaps. I’m still not sure. You (journalists) will know very soon”, added Trump, at the door of the White House.

But, on the same day, his vice president announced that negotiations with Iran are going very well.

“We think that we made a lot of progress. We think the Iranians want to reach an agreement. The US president asked us to negotiate in good faith and that is exactly what we did.”

“So we are in a very good point”, assured JD Vance, at a press conference.

In fact, on the eve of this new threat of a large-scale attack, Donald Trump himself had spoken about developments “very positive” in negotiations with Iran.

According to the White House leader, an Iranian official told him: “Yesterday I received a call: ‘Sir, can you wait? We think we are close to reaching an agreement.’ All good”.
