Photos Portugal Dancing | DR
The Lavra Auditorium, in Matosinhos, was the stage this Saturday for the 2024 National Final of Portugal a Dançar, an event that highlighted the talent, creativity and passion for dance across the country, with emphasis on the participation of the Companhia de Dança do Algarve , with a solo by Laura Sanders.
The event brought together 200 dancers and presented 27 choreographies in competition, full of talent and emotion.
The jury, made up of renowned dancers and choreographers such as Ana Carina Rodriguez, Francisca Durão, Francisca Mendo, Jojo Lopes and Maria de Barros, had the challenging mission of evaluating the performances and selecting the winners.
Final classification:
- 1st Place: Algarve Dance Company – Laura Sanders
- 2nd Place: Algarve Dance Company – Maria Rodrigues
- 3rd Place: AAD Look At Me
In addition to the main prizes, special distinctions were awarded:
- Scholarship: Fábio Barreiro
- Merit Award: José Maria Carvalho
These recognitions reflect the talent, dedication and excellence demonstrated by the participants, reinforcing the role of as an important stage for valuing dance in Portugal.
