Another journalist was removed from the place where the US Secretary of State was giving statements about the ceasefire in Gaza
Independent American journalist Sam Husseini was forcibly removed from the press room where the United States Secretary of State, . The episode took place this Thursday (16 January 2025).
Images released on X (formerly Twitter) show Husseini sitting while 3 security guards approach him. The journalist exchanges a few words with one of the security guards. The agent touches Husseini’s arm and tries to lift him.
The incident occurred because Husseini interrupted Blinken’s initial speech and had his attention drawn by an advisor. Subsequently, the leader of North American diplomacy asked the journalist to respect the interview process.
Husseini resisted leaving the room and argued with security guards. As he was forcibly taken away, he shouted to Blinken:
“Respect the process? Everyone from Amnesty International to the ICJ [Corte Internacional de Justiça]saying that Israel is committing genocide and extermination and you are telling me to respect the process? Criminal! Why aren’t you in The Hague?”said the journalist.
While being taken out of the room, the journalist of Palestinian origin also shouted to one of the security guards: “Take your hands off me”. Watch:

Husseini commented on the episode in . Said it was “seriously mistreated” and that he was already at home.

Another journalist was also removed from the interview location before Husseini. Right at the beginning of his statements, Blinken was interrupted by American journalist Max Blumenthal.

You just helped destroy our religion, Judaism, by associating it with fascism. […] Why did you allow the Holocaust of our time to happen? What does it feel like to know that your legacy is genocide?”asked Blumenthal.
As he spoke, a woman approached the journalist to remove him from the room. Blumenthal left the scene peacefully.
