After confirming receipt of the list, the ceasefire came into effect at 11:15 am local time (6:15 am in Brasília), with around three hours of delay due to ‘technical failures’
This Sunday (19), the informed the the names of the three hostages who will be released in this first phase of the agreement. Romi Gonen, Emily Damari and Doron Steinbrecher are part of the 33 hostages on the list released by the terrorist group. The releases are scheduled to begin this Sunday (19), after the treaty is approved by the Israeli cabinet.
After 15 months of conflict, the agreement brokered by Qatar, Egypt and the United States will initially last six weeks and, in exchange, provides for Israel to also release 95 Palestinian prisoners, mainly women and teenagers.
