National Road (EN) 339 was closed to traffic, at the Piornos-Torre and Torre-Sabugueiro connections, since 7:30 pm on Sunday due to snowfall.
Access to the central Serra da Estrela massif, closed since Sunday, reopened this Monday morning, said the to the Lusa agency.
“The road reopened at 8am and runs without restrictions in access to the Tower”, said a source from the Sub-regional Command of Emergency and Civil Protection of Beiras and Serra da Estrela.
