In a press conference held this Monday (20), the Olinda sectional delegate, Euricélia Nogueira, informed that, after investigations and collection of statements, it was proven that the pitbull’s guardian, whose name was not revealed, did not comply with the requirements established by State Law.

“The owner of the animal was charged with manslaughter due to negligence. He is responsible for the animal and we have a state law that says that dogs of the pickleball breed, Doberman breed and Rottweiler breed are animals that can only be walked on public roads with people over 18 years old and also with safety equipment, such as muzzle and short leads. These are pieces of equipment that do not cause suffering to the animal, but also do not expose people on the street,” said the delegate.
