The Czech police tracked down a person who wrote to the Slovak helpline that he wanted to harm someone

An unknown person wrote to the e-mail of the Slovak helpline on Tuesday, threatening to harm someone. Czech police officers managed to identify the person after three hours, she is hospitalized for her mental disorder. The details were given in a press release on Tuesday by the head of the press department of the Pilsen police, Pavla Burešová, reports TASR in Prague.

“Today after 10:00 a.m., we received information that an unknown person contacted the helpline operated in Slovakia via e-mail, threatening to harm someone,” she specified. She added that, according to the workers of this organization, it was psychological In addition, the police learned that the person is studying at the Faculty of Education of the ZČU in Pilsen.

The Czech police immediately started checking the information. She contacted the university, which, according to her, cooperated with her all along. “Cooperation with the representatives of the University of West Bohemia was one of the key factors in the later identification of the writer,” said Burešová. According to her, the police also cooperated with the National Center against Terrorism, Extremism and Cybercrime and used all possible means of investigation.

Policemen from the orderly service or criminal investigators were also involved in the case, who focused on all the buildings of the ZČU. Based on the operative search, they obtained a lot of information, thanks to which the police after about three hours identified the person who allegedly contacted the Slovak helpline with a threat.

“At that time, the person in question was and still is in a hospital facility, where he is hospitalized for his mental illness. The case is still being dealt with by Rokycan criminalists, who established the legal qualification as violence against a group of residents and against an individual,” added Burešová.
