Indicted in three investigations, former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) said in an interview with the channel Auriverde Brasil who wakes up every day with the feeling of having the Federal Police at his door: “How do you think I wake up every day? With the feeling of the PF at the door. What accusation? It doesn’t matter,” he said.

The investigations involving Bolsonaro include investigations into an alleged coup d’état plot, fraud related to vaccination cards for travel to the United States and the Saudi Arabia jewelry controversy.

The last indictment occurred in November 2024, when the Federal Police accused him of violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law, coup d’état and criminal organization.

During the interview, Bolsonaro also defended United States President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw the country from the World Health Organization (WHO).

The former president criticized the organization’s actions during the Covid-19 pandemic and claimed, without providing evidence, that the president of the WHO, Tedros Adhanom, would be subordinate to the Chinese Communist Party.

Bolsonaro regretted not being able to participate in Trump’s inauguration, as his passport was withheld due to investigations by the Federal Supreme Court (STF). Minister Alexandre de Moraes denied the request to release the passport, stating that the request involved only a “private interest”.

The former president said he wanted to go to the inauguration of the new US President to talk to other heads of state and world leaders. “I wanted to be in the United States to have these conversations.
