“This suitcase here is well clinging”: provocations between deputies forces parliament to suspend work

The beginning of Friday’s parliamentary session was marked by tension, leading the President of the Assembly of the Republic, Aguiar-Branco, to temporarily suspend the work. The reason was the protest of the parliamentary leader of the arrival, Pedro Pinto, against the place attributed to the non-registered deputy Miguel Arruda, former member of the party.

Pedro Pinto expressed displeasure with the location of the former deputy of the arrival, who now occupies a place between the PSD stands and the arrival itself. Pinto claimed that proximity was uncomfortable, stating that he could not “answer for what might happen in this plenary session.” This statement, loaded with an implicit threat tone, generated reactions in the plenary.

CO-PORTE OF FREE, Rui Tavares, intervened with an ironic criticism, stating that his suitcase would be “well clinging”, in a clear allusion to the suspicions of baggage at airports that fall on Miguel Arruda.

Aguiar-white interrupted the session to try to calm the spirits. Despite the protest, Miguel Arruda remained in the place assigned to him, now being isolated, without the presence of deputies from the arrival by his side. A definitive decision on where you should sit will be made at a future leadership conference.
