The goalless draw between Coritiba and Athletico-PR was marked by regrettable scenes of widespread confusion. Shortly after the referee’s final whistle, the athletes began exchanging verbal abuse in the middle of the field, which ended in physical aggression.
The exchange of punches began after former midfielder Filipe Machado had a disagreement with goalkeeper Mycael, when the Furacão players were trying to leave the pitch. The two then began exchanging blows, motivating colleagues to do the same.

Soon after, some of the athletes continued attacking each other towards the tunnel, while some of the delegations tried to calm the situation.
Finally, the first Atletiba of 2025 was marked by a lot of confusion, rain, expulsions and cards. and full-back Felipe Guimarães were sent off with the ball still rolling.
Case of racism
Defender Léo, captain of Athlético, was the target of racism after being sent off in the duel against Coritiba, in the Campeonato Paranaense. A Coxa Branca fan filmed the moment the defender received the red card and directed racist insults at the defender.
