Ver Tavira celebrates its 5th anniversary with an exclusive dinner by Michelin chefs

The A Ver Tavira restaurant celebrates its 5th anniversary with an exclusive gastronomic dinner, scheduled for June 27, 2026, which will bring together a group of distinguished chefs recognized on the national and international scene in Tavira.

The event will be led by executive chef Luís Brito and will feature the participation of Alexandre Silva, from LOCO, in Lisbon, awarded a Michelin star; Rui Sequeira, from Alameda, in Faro, also with a Michelin star; Shirley Alves, from As Casas, in Bahia, Brazil; and Dieter Koschina, from Vila Joya, in Albufeira, awarded two Michelin stars.

According to the organization, it is “an exclusive dinner that celebrates shared creativity, technique and culinary art”.

The anniversary marks a milestone for A Ver Tavira and also aims to highlight the growing affirmation of the Algarve as a reference gastronomic region in Portugal, in a context in which the region has gained greater presence in recent editions of the Michelin Guide.

Guest chefs join Luís Brito on a special night

During the night, the guest chefs will join Luís Brito to mark the placement of A Ver Tavira’s Michelin star plaque, distinguished for the first time in 2022.

For the restaurant, this distinction symbolizes not only the restaurant’s history, but also its contribution to the Algarve’s gastronomic scene.

A Ver Tavira’s culinary identity is linked to the different regions of Portugal and their products. The restaurant’s cuisine is based on the principles of purity, balance and seasonality, seeking to value the expression of each ingredient through technique, creativity and emotion.

The anniversary dinner will give guests the opportunity to discover Luís Brito’s gastronomic vision in dialogue with the cuisine of Alexandre Silva, Rui Sequeira, Shirley Alves and Dieter Koschina.

Together, the chefs will present a menu created to celebrate emotion, memory and connection with Portuguese gastronomic heritage.

“This dinner represents five years of dedication, sharing and evolution. More than celebrating a star, we celebrate the people, flavors and moments that give meaning to our cuisine”, says chef Luís Brito.

Champagne accompanies the entire gastronomic experience

The night begins on the rooftop, with a moment of welcome and conviviality accompanied by five exclusive snacks. Guests will be welcomed with a glass of champagne, in an experience in which the entire dinner will be paired with André Jacquart champagnes.

“For me, pairing this dinner entirely with Champagne André Jacquart is creating a narrative within the celebration itself. Each champagne brings freshness, depth and elegance, but also a very special ability to accompany different moments in the kitchen. On this night, champagne does not just appear as a complement; it is part of the emotion, memory and rhythm of the experience”, highlights Claudia Abrantes, Maître Sommelier.

The menu includes proposals signed by the guest chefs and Luís Brito, including the emblematic dish of: Azorean lily with fermented cabbage and Pêra do Oeste.
