COVID-19: Acre has already registered more than 2,300 cases in January, says Sesacre Bulletin

In addition to the increase in the number of deaths from COVID-19, which reached 12 in the first weeks of 2025, the amount of confirmed cases of the disease has also shot in recent days.

The information appears in the last epidemiological bulletin released by the State Department of Health (Sesacre). In this first month of the year alone, 7,473 cases were notified, of which 2,385 were confirmed.

The bulletin also points out that the incidence of COVID-19 in Acre between 2023 and 2025 was 1,674.1 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, with the municipality of Acrelandia showing the highest incidence (3,079.4 cases per 100,000 inhabitants).

By 2025, until epidemiological week 4, the incidence of Covid-19 is 266.6 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. The municipality of Acolândia again stands out with the highest incidence of 671.4 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, according to Sesacre.

CASE BY SEX

In the last three years, among positive cases, sex distribution shows that 5,649 cases (37.7%) have been reported in male and 9,325 (62.3%) in females. As for age group, the largest proportion of confirmed cases occurs among people from 40 to 49 years old, in both sexes.

“In the year 2025, according to the skin color variable, the largest proportion of positive cases is brown people (68.8%), followed by yellow (13.2%), white (10.8%), ignored (4.6%), black (2.3%) and indigenous (0.4%), ”says the newsletter.
