F-35 hunting falls in Alaska but pilot can eject in time and survive

An F-35 fighter from the United States Air Force rode and exploded last Tuesday during a training exercise in Alaska. The incident occurred at Eielson Air Base at 12:49 (local time), resulting in “significant damage” in the aircraft.

Fortunately, the pilot was able to ejected in time and survived, the US authorities confirmed. According to Colonel Paul Townsend, commander of the 354 hunting wing, the accident was caused by a “flight failure” during the landing phase, forcing emergency ejection.

The causes of the fall are now being investigated by the military, while circulating images of the moment of the explosion on social networks.
