Foreign Ministers of Arab countries rejected on Saturday the transfer of Palestinians under any circumstances, presenting a unified position against the request of US President Donald Trump for Egypt and Jordan to receive residents of the Gaza Strip.
In a joint statement after a meeting in Cairo, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and authorities of Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Palestinian Authority and League Arabic said that a transfer would threaten the region’s stability, spread conflicts and impair perspectives impairment of peace.
“We affirm our rejection to (any attempt to) compromise the inalienable rights of the Palestinians, either through laying activities, dumping or annexation of land or through the vacancy of the land of their owners… in any way or under any circumstances or justifications. ”Says the joint statement.
They can’t wait to work with the Trump administration to achieve fair and comprehensive peace in the Middle East based on a two -state solution, they added.
The meeting was held after Trump said last week that Egypt and Jordan should receive the Palestinians of Gaza, described by him as a “demolition site” after 15 months of Israeli bombing that left most of the 2.3 million people homeless. Critics claim that their suggestion is equivalent to ethnic cleaning.
On Wednesday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi rejected the idea that Egypt facilitate the displacement of residents of Gaza and said that the Egyptians would take to the streets to express their disapproval.

But on Thursday, Trump reiterated the idea, saying, “We do a lot for them, and they will do it (that),” in an apparent reference to abundant US help, including military assistance, both Egypt and Jordan.
Any suggestion that Palestinians leave Gaza, a territory that would be part of an independent state, has been an anathema for Palestinian leadership for generations and repeatedly rejected by the neighboring Arabs since the beginning of the latest war in Gaza in October 2023.
