Will hold a public hearing next Friday (7) to discuss, amid the mayor’s offensive (MDB) against motorcycle taxi and by application.
The hearing was requested by councilwoman () and has as context, which generated one around motorcycle transportation services.
The hearing, which will have as its motto “regulate or ban the motorcycle in Sao Paulo?”, Will be guests of leaders of the motorcycle taxi drivers and motoboys, such as Jr. Freitas, national deliverylings by application, and representatives of the Sindimotosp and Sindimotocasp unions.
Also called the Municipal Secretary of Urban Mobility and Transport, Celso Jorge Caldeira, and the chief secretary of the Civil House, as well as representatives of, and the Brazilian Association of Mobility and Technology. Finally, experts were invited on the subject, such as Diogo Dias Lemos, executive coordinator of the Bloomberg initiative for global road safety in São Paulo.
“Motorcycle transport meets a real demand of the population, especially in the peripheries, where public transport is precarious,” says Amanda Paschoal. “The City Council needs to discuss this subject with the whole society, not just repress a demand that already exists.”
