US government removes employees for refusing confidential information

AP says members of the Government Efficiency Department have obtained access to United States Agency’s confidential information for International Development (USAID), which include secret service reports, which had been denied to them earlier.

The US government has removed two US agency security heads for foreign aid after they refused to deliver confidential material to the department directed by Elon Musk, two sources told Associated Press on Sunday.

The US news agency AP, which identifies sources as a current and a former US employee, says members of the government efficiency department, known as Doge, finally obtained on Saturday access to confidential information from the United States agency For International Development (USAID), which include secret service reports, which had been denied them earlier.

Doge’s inspection team, headed by billionaire Elon Musk, did not have enough level security permission to access that information, so USAID Security Director John Vorhees and Deputy Brian McGill were legally required to deny -Hees the access.
