PL bets on the image of Fortaleza councilwoman to broaden the representativeness of the right in the Senate and further strengthen the conservative female presence in the National Congress
The most voted councilwoman in Fortaleza, (PL), national vice president of PL Mulher, was confirmed as a candidate for the Federal Senate by Ceará. The announcement was made in Brasilia by the national president of PL, Valdemar Costa Neto, and the former first lady and president of PL Mulher, during a meeting with legend leaders. “It has my support and Michelle Bolsonaro,” said Valdemar Costa Neto by officializing the pre-candidacy, highlighting Priscila’s political weight on the national scene.
Priscila’s name comes as one of the strongest bets in the Northeast for gathering decisive credentials for the dispute:
• Most voted councilwoman in the capital: In Fortaleza, he won expressive vote, which demonstrates electoral density.
• Woman: His candidacy can pierce the traditional right bubble, expanding representation with the female electorate.
• Pastor and Evangelical Leader: Daughter of the President of the largest assembly of God of Ceará, carries legitimacy and influence on the Christian electorate, one of the most organized in the state.
• Conservative and popular profile: Consolidated as a voice of the family, faith and traditional values, Priscila presents itself as a natural name of the right right to the Senate.
With this profile, the PL believes that Priscila Costa has the necessary conditions to secure at least one of the right -handed Senate vacancies in Ceará, a state historically dominated by the left.
Presence at this Monday event
Priscila Costa will also be present this Monday at the event in Brasilia that marks the inauguration of federal deputy André Fernandes as state president of PL in Ceará. The ceremony, held at the party’s national headquarters, will be attended by Valdemar Costa Neto and reinforces the strategic weight of the meeting.
The union of names such as André Fernandes and Priscila Costa projects a new moment to the right in Ceará, with the PL assuming protagonism and presenting young, combative and real capacity for majority dispute.
The Symbolism of the Launch
Priscila Costa’s confirmation as a Senate pre-candidate is not just a state decision, but a strategic movement of the PL at the national level. With the direct support of Michelle Bolsonaro and Valdemar Costa Neto, the party bets on its image to expand the representativeness of the right in the Senate and further strengthen the conservative female presence in the National Congress.
