PATUÁ has launched a new premium rosé wine, produced in a boutique vineyard of just one hectare, in São Bartolomeu de Messines, in the heart of the Algarve.
PATUÁ Rosé Tête de Cuvée arrives on the market in a very limited quantity, with around 2,000 bottles, representing an exclusive proposal, marked by freshness, elegance and connection with the Algarve territory.
According to the brand, it is a pale rosé, with notes of citrus and pomegranate, designed to accompany hot summer days. The freshness and saline notes seek to express the essence of its location in southern Europe, while the label, designed in the shape of a beach pebble, is inspired by the golden coast of the Algarve.
“PATUÁ rosé wine is naturally engaging due to its freshness and elegance. It is a wine that flows easily, just like summer days. Whether relaxing at a beach bar, on a boat, or enjoying an endless dinner, PATUÁ rosé is a refreshing and refined accompaniment”, says Joana Guerreiro, wine producer.
Production relies on the Tête de Cuvée method
The main difference of this wine is the use of the Tête de Cuvée method, which selects only the highest quality juice obtained from the first gentle pressing of the grapes.
The grapes were harvested manually at dawn and fermented in French oak barrels, where they remained in contact with fine lees for six months.
Simultaneously with the launch of rosé, PATUÁ will also present two small productions of red wine, from the 2022 and 2025 harvests, each limited to 1,000 bottles.
PATUÁ wine will be available exclusively online and in some selected restaurants in Lisbon and the Algarve.
“From a one-hectare boutique vineyard, the vision is to create great wines, on a small and exclusive scale”, adds Joana Guerreiro.
PATUÁ is located in São Bartolomeu de Messines, on a property that has belonged to the same family for five generations. The recent history of the project began in 2022, when Joana Guerreiro inherited her father’s wine estate, returning to her roots in the Algarve with the aim of giving new life to the property, in a context in which the region is gaining recognition for the quality of its wines.
With limited production and a minimalist approach, PATUÁ focuses on distinct wines and an exclusive experience, prioritizing quality over quantity.
