The champions of the Brazilian and the Brazilian Cup faced each other on Sunday afternoon (2) under heavy rain for the decision of Super Copa Rei.
The cariocas Botafogo and Flamengo played the match in a lawn soaked in Mangueirão, in Belém (PA).
Who took the best was Flamengo, who did 3-1 in the inspired night of striker Bruno Henrique, author of two goals.
The red-black scored the first goal early in the first half at 12 minutes. The advantage originated from a penalty beaten by Bruno Henrique, as a result of a lack of Lucas Halter in the attacker himself. It did not need much time back to the field for Flamengo to score the second goal, one of Bruno Henrique – 97th for the Rio team.
The team returned to the field in the second half without exchanges – by Gerson, who has already started the match with pain. After 20 minutes Arrascaeta, the team’s idol, instead of Gonzalo Plata and at 34, left Bruno Henrique, cheered by the fans.
The second half was again dominated by Flamengo, with several goal threats, and few Botafogo attacks. The alvinegro team had little chance of scoring. In one of the rare, the ball kicked by Alex Telles was slightly diverted to the crossbar by the opposing goalkeeper.

The victory consolidates the meteoric beginning of the career of coach Filipe Luís, who took command of the team late last year and has accumulated two titles – the Brazilian Cup and now the Super Cup.
At the end of the match, Bruno Henrique received the crown he consecrated as a highlight of the game and said that if he could, he would like to share her with his teammates. The supercop victory made him, along with Arrascaeta, the biggest champion of the club, with 14 titles.
