Sector sold 1.2 million units in the first month of the year, but registered a 16.9% drop in comparison with December
The sale of used and used vehicles in Brazil grew 2.1% in January 2025, compared to the same month of 2024. The sector sold 1,225,962 units, compared to 1,201.177 in the previous year, according to data released by the National Federation of the Motor Vehicle Resellers Associations (Fenauto) at 3.FEV.2025. Compared to December 2024, the market dropped 16.9%. The daily average marketing retreated 28.2%from 77,602 to 55,726 units.
The Northeast presented the best regional performance, with a 15.7% increase in sales compared to January 2024. The Southeast region, the largest market in the country, registered a drop of 4.6% in the same comparison.
The cars represented 62.84% of the total sold in January, with 770,447 units. The VW Gol led segment sales with 56,531 units. The motorcycles occupied the second position, with 279,818 units sold (22.82% of the total).
