The program, called Rodoanel Seguro, has participation from Artesp (Transport Agency of the State of São Paulo), concessionaires and the Military Highway Police. The planned investment is R$284 million for real-time monitoring of the 174 km of road.

Among the actions planned in the project, which is part of the SP Pra Toda Obra program, Tarcísio’s flagship, are the installation of a fiber optic network on the Rodoanel, 4K cameras with license plate reading and facial recognition, sensors to detect intrusions and lighting.

“São Paulo has the best road infrastructure in the country and our government works daily to make our highways even more modern and technological. Rodoanel Seguro combines road safety and unprecedented digital infrastructure to respond to incidents and combat crimes and vandalism on more than 170 km of smart roads, making the actions of the PM Rodoviária even more efficient in favor of citizens and against crime”, says the governor.
