The Civil Police of the Federal District asked the minister, rapporteur of the coup plot at the (Supreme Federal Court), authorization to hear (PL) in the investigation that investigates the circumstances of the seizure of a pistol belonging to the former president.
The hearing will be via video conference next Wednesday (24), at 3pm.
In the letter sent to Moraes this Thursday (18), those responsible for the investigation reported that there was an attempt to summon Bolsonaro personally at his home, where he is under house arrest, but the team in charge of the former president’s security did not allow it.
The 9 mm Glock pistol was used on Monday night (15) by a Bolsonaro security guard, approached during a DF blitz.
In explanations sent to Moraes, the defense reported that the former president requested the pistol be repaired after finding a fault.
The lawyers also said that Bolsonaro was unaware that a part of the pistol had been removed by his security team, rendering the weapon inoperative. The measure was taken because the former president takes psychiatric medications that can affect his cognition. Without this information, Bolsonaro would have noticed the problem with the pistol and ordered the repair.
