Amid the increase of requests for opening Parliamentary Committees of Inquiry (CPIs) at the beginning of the new São Paulo City Council Legislature, the party leaders defined the opening of only two collegiate.
The settlement was defined by the leaders of the meeting in meeting this Tuesday (4).
At least nine CPIs were filed at the beginning of the year: four by the base of Mayor Ricardo Nunes (MDB), and five for the opposition. Now each pole will have a commission.
On the basis of the base, there are requests ranging from investigations into support groups to users in the region of to private property occupations.
According to government leader, councilor Fabio Riva (MDB), there is still no definition about which CPI will be chosen by the group.
“We will analyze these CPIs and try to make an agreement between the leaders (both government and opposition) to choose two important CPIs for the city. There is still no agreement (which will be chosen). We only have one conversation for the College of Leaders, ”he explained.
On the opposition side, there is also no definition of which request will be chosen, but the tendency is for a definition for one of the four requests submitted by the PT.
Requests made by the caption involve investigations into flood problems in the East Zone; Water tariffs applied to postprivatization consumers of the São Paulo State Basic Sanitation Company (Sabesp); and any irregularities in real estate developments in the capital.
