Two people were injured in a traffic accident that occurred on Wednesday evening in the Košice – Nad jazerom district. A passenger car crashed into the concrete structure of the bridge there for unknown reasons. The Regional Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Service (HaZZ) in Košice informed about it on the social network.
Firefighters from Košice intervened on the scene, secured the scene of the accident, carried out fire-fighting measures and treated the injured provided pre-medical first aid. At the same time, they assisted the police in documenting the traffic accident.
The Košice Regional Police added on the social network that after the accident, the Ford Mustang blocked two lanes. There was also spilled oil on the road. She added that according to the information so far there was no serious injury.
After the accident, the exit from Slanecká cesta was only possible in the direction of Opátské. The section was originally impassablelater the police informed that the road is passable in one lane. She urged drivers to be more careful and respect the police officers’ instructions.
