The funding pot for e-mobility is exhausted. Climate Protection Minister Leonore Gewessler (Greens) spoke of a record demand on Saturday. In a broadcast, the Ministry for 2024 lists around 25,000 subsidized charging points and 18,000 subsidized vehicles. In 2020 there were almost 9,000 subsidized vehicles and a good 2000 charging points. A total of almost 160,000 funding applications for electric vehicles and charging infrastructure have been made in the past five years. Around 62,000 electric vehicles and 51,000 wall boxes or charging cables were subsidized for private individuals.
